The intro to Eleven by Primus is a key thing to play once you get these added to your set.
Man seeing this comment is crazy lol! That song is the main reason I even know what octobans are and they are the main thing I realllly want for my kit just so I can learn that song. I have a set of 6” 8” 10” rototoms and have tried playing it, but it just doesn’t sound the same. I know their old drummer jay played that song with rototoms sometimes but it definitely doesn’t sound as cool. I’m a massive primus fan lol

i love portnoy with what he has done with DT. he is one of my influences. but having heard ADTOE, i tried to cover/transcribe mangini's parts and damn, they're just so intricate and has tons and tons of time signature changes. let's face it, to compare the top 3 of portnoy in his whole catalog, that would be Metropolis, DOE, Nitghtmare to REmember. With just this song, this one song of mangini, this trumps them all.

I may only be 14 but Iv listened to toe 80s since I can remember. I always wanted to see what it was like and thanks to my mom and dad I will get to come see Tommy Lee the man who inspired my to play drums. I feel like I got a connection with Mick Mars because I have a rear disses called mitochondrail disses It makes my bones weak so that is why I have to use a wheelchair most of the time. There is no cure. But seeing Mick Mars up there has inspired me to play drums like Tommy Lee.

@@marqeric Again I don't understand the hate. Me personally I thought his nastiest and grooviest and possibly the greasiest drumming was on the self titled with John Corabi. Again it always had that bounce!!

Sounds great! I’m heartbroken to see this tho. I had that exact type of kit (“Gun Metal Grey” TAMA Granstar) with two bass drums, 4 rack toms, 2 floor toms, snare, all the heavy duty hardware… but my parents sold it while I was deployed in the military back around 1993-94. Lovin the rock groove you are swinging here man! Wishing you a great 2022!
